One of my biggest inspirations is Pinterest.com. I'm on there all the time always finding new ideas. While I was on pinterest I came across a painting that really caught my eye. I did some research on it and found more paintings similar to the first one. They were all done by Cindy Davis. Her art is really cool and simple. Its something I feel as if I could do.

Art Semester Test
The definition of art is the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power. Art is a way to be created and a way to express yourself. There are soo many different types of art out there. Art is very influential in many ways. Sometimes it is used as therapy for children. It is a neat way to help kids rather than having them just talk about things. It also may help release any anger they may have built up about something. I didn't think i would enjoy art class as much as I do! It started with a schedule change into a collection of mine.

this is another idea i got off of Pinterest. ive made another one to go with it, but havent decided what color to paint it yet. i took a canvas and used Elmer's glue to glue the design then let it fully dry and painted over it. i thought the idea was really cool and unique. the glue is a great way to add texture.

crayon flowers
i created this project with crayons and tissue paper. i hot glued green crayons to the top of the canvas then took a hair dryer the melt them. once the drips were to the length i wanted, i turned the canvas up side down and glued tissue paper clumps to look like flowers. i really like the way it turned out.

SawBlade
My second art project for the first quarter i chose to do a painted saw blade. so i used the saw blade as my canvas. i got this idea from my aunt, she does many crafts! i went with the black and red theme to match my bed room. i thought this idea was different and unique from what we see everyday in class.
